Behind the Scenes with PUSH Media and Shingle RX at the Parish Church of St. Jerome

Recently, our team had the opportunity to follow Christian and the crew from Shingle RX as they began work on one of Tulsa’s most historically significant landmarks: The Parish Church of St. Jerome in downtown Tulsa.

While most people see a roof restoration project, we saw something much bigger.

This church has stood through generations of Tulsa’s history and played an important role during one of the city’s darkest moments. During the Tulsa Race Massacre, St. Jerome became a place of refuge, harboring Black families seeking safety amidst the violence. Today, the church remains a stop on historical tours, serving as a reminder of resilience, community, and hope.

When Shingle RX was asked to help preserve this historic property, they didn’t see it as just another job. They saw an opportunity to protect a piece of Tulsa’s story.

The Process Begins

To kick off the project, Shingle RX partnered with H20 Drone to perform the initial cleaning process. Using specialized drone technology, the team was able to safely remove years of debris and buildup from the roof from above, minimizing risk while maximizing efficiency.

As Kelly captured footage from the ground, the massive drone hovered overhead, carefully cleaning areas that would otherwise require extensive labor and setup.

Once the roof has completely dried, Christian and his team will return to apply the Shingle RX treatment. They use a specialized solution designed to extend the life of roofing materials and help them better withstand Oklahoma’s unpredictable weather.

The result? An estimated 10 additional years of protection for a building that has already stood for generations.

More Than a Roofing Project

One of the most rewarding moments of the day had nothing to do with cameras, drones, or roofing products.

Throughout the shoot, neighbors and members of the church stopped by to thank Christian personally. They shared stories about the church, expressed their appreciation for the work being done, and spoke about how important it is to preserve landmarks like St. Jerome for future generations.

Those conversations reminded us why storytelling matters.

Behind every business is a mission.

Behind every project is a purpose.

And behind every community landmark are people who care deeply about keeping it alive.

Why Push Media Tells These Stories

Many marketing agencies focus solely on the finished product.

At Push Media, we’re equally interested in the journey.

Our goal isn’t simply to create content that gets views. We want to showcase the people, the craftsmanship, and the impact behind the work. When businesses invest in their communities, preserve local history, or improve the places we call home, those stories deserve to be told.

For Shingle RX, this project demonstrates more than their ability to restore and protect roofs. It highlights their commitment to preserving structures that matter to the people of Tulsa.

For us, it was an opportunity to document that mission from the very beginning.

Kelly captured the “before” stage of the project, and we’ll be returning once the treatment is complete to reveal the final transformation.

Because sometimes the most important stories aren’t about what changed.

They’re about what was worth preserving.

Looking Ahead

We’re excited to share the completed transformation of St. Jerome in the coming weeks and continue showcasing businesses that make a difference throughout Oklahoma.

If you’re a business owner who believes your work has a story worth telling, we’d love to help you tell it.

Because great marketing doesn’t just promote what you do.

It shows people why it matters.
